Barnhart brings families together and the Barnhart Parents Group (BPG) supports exciting opportunities for our parents and students to interact in positive and productive ways. This past Saturday, the BPG sponsored our third annual "Family Night at the Movies and Car Show." Under the brilliant leadership of Brent Broyles, his extraordinary team of volunteers hosted a car show and created an outdoor amphitheater complete with lights, a movie screen, a sound system, vendor booths and a Barbeque.
Two commercial sponsors made considerable financial contributions including the John Alle Company and Crunchtime Marketing. The Arcadia Fire Department shared two rigs including their 1927 La France fire truck. Our Car Show committee members, Jackie Westlund, Steve Witter, Paul Reid and BPG President, Claudia Kanne, planned and staffed the event. Brent Broyles, the committee chairman, worked through the weekend setting up and tearing down the venue along with his right and left hands, Eric Bielstein and Ed Wright.
